Carrie-Ann Lightley is a writer, speaker, facilitator and content creator, specialising in accessible travel. One of the UK’s leading accessible travel bloggers, she’s been working in the sector since 2005, inspiring Disabled people to explore the world through her blog and across her social platforms.

Carrie-Ann is known for her engaging and authentic storytelling - whether she’s sharing accessible travel guides, leading brand campaigns, or speaking on stages across the UK. Her copywriting and travel features have appeared in The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Sun, and she’s collaborated with destinations including Visit Peak District and Derbyshire, Visit Belfast, and North Pennines National Landscapes.

From 2019 to 2023, Carrie-Ann was recognised as one of the UK’s 100 most influential Disabled people on the Shaw Trust Disability Power 100 List - a reflection of her sustained impact in the travel and disability space.

As a confident speaker and facilitator, Carrie-Ann delivers keynotes, workshops and webinars for both disabled audiences and the tourism sector. She’s a regular speaker at Naidex, the UK’s flagship disability event, has delivered a keynote at Belfast’s Embrace The Inclusive Spirit seminar, and appeared as a special guest at CP Teens UK’s Ball. She also leads regular virtual workshops focused on inclusive marketing for tourism businesses, and accessible travel tips for disabled people.

Carrie-Ann is an Ambassador for UP – The Adult Cerebral Palsy Movement, and continues to advocate for accessibility, representation and joy in travel - one story at a time.
