About Stefan
Stefan is a South East based filmmaker, nominated for Debut Director at the 2025 Amplify New Voice Awards.
He is passionate about telling stories from new perspectives, drawing on his own lived experiences, as a filmmaker with a disability, to improve authentic representation in stories, through varying forms, short fiction, factual documentary and branded content.
In 2022/23 he completed the Pact Indie diversity scheme after working in TV at Freemantle Ltd for almost a year. Here he gained valuable experience in Production and development.
Last year he was selected for Together TV's Diverse Film Fund initiative to make a short documentary that would be broadcast live on Together TV and on Channel 4's coverage of the Paris 2024 Paralympics.
His short "ALT Jay" focuses on disability and sport, explored through the lens of identical twin brothers. It was his documentary directorial debut and would go on to be screened at the 2024 BFI London Film Festival.
