About Millie
Human Beauty is a disability-founded colour cosmetics brand pioneering an Accessible Beauty Revolution. Founded by Millie Flemington-Clare, who lives with a rare genetic condition, the brand was born from lived experience — and from how makeup became her therapy during periods of ill health. It gave her confidence, creativity, and control when so much else felt out of reach.
That experience highlighted how inaccessible most beauty products were, inspiring Millie to reimagine beauty design with accessibility at its core.
Human Beauty develops innovative products that remove barriers for disabled users yet work better for everyone, proving that inclusivity drives innovation. Its products feature Anti-Roll™ packaging, which prevents products rolling out of reach and is paired with sensory-friendly formulas and QR NaviLens which lead to audio guidance shade descriptions to make makeup easier, more dignified, and more joyful to use.
The brand has gained national recognition through BBC’s Dragons’ Den, the Innovate UK Inclusive Innovation Grant, and awards including Entrepreneur of Excellence at the National Diversity Awards.
With an engaged community of over 10K beauty lovers, Human Beauty continues to champion authentic representation, speak up for what's right and push the beauty industry toward a truly inclusive future.
