About Lydia
Lydia Wilkins is an award-winning freelance journalist and editor who specialises in disability and social inequality issues.
Currently, she is the editor in chief of Disability Review Magazine, the UK’s largest disability specific title. Lydia has worked extensively as a speaker in the disability space, with organisations such as Naidex, Bath Spa University, The Science Gallery, Suffolk University, SIC, AccessAble, and others.
She was also a model at the September 2023 fashion show for the adaptive fashion label Unhidden. She is the author of The Autism Friendly Cookbook. In her spare time, Lydia writes the Substack newsletter The Disabled Feminist, and also serves as an ambassador to AccessAble.
Lydia is an experienced and accomplished speaker and lecturer, and she is currently working on her next book, Criminally Misunderstood.
