About shaun
Shaun Fitzgerald is a Deaf actor, adventurer, speaker, author, and film writer.
He was close to becoming a professional footballer until a knee injury changed his path.
Born profoundly Deaf, he embraces the mindset—"I'm Deaf, so what?"—proving that nothing holds him back. Fifteen years ago, Shaun struggled with his mental health, so much so that he attempted suicide. Thankfully he overcame this dark period and now uses his journey and honesty to help others.
He has appeared on First Dates (Channel 4) and See Hear (BBC).
Whether on screen, stage, or through his words, Shaun is dedicated to inspiring others and advocating for accessibility.
Shaun wears glasses, has a beard and a warm smile as sits on a stool in a dimly lit studio. He wears a dark blue jacket over a light-colored shirt and beige pants. The moody lighting creates a dramatic contrast against the dark background, highlighting his face and upper body.
