About MYRIAM
Myriam Achour Soumati is a French-Algerian self-taught artist based in London. As a dreamer and highly sensitive person, art has always been her sanctuary. Growing up in Paris, she spent her summers immersed in drawing and painting in the serene French countryside of Charentes.
After building a thriving career in marketing, her passion for art and the pull of her childhood dream became impossible to ignore. In 2017, she founded Soumati Studio, named after her Algerian tribal heritage.
Her work is characterized by simple lines, vibrant yet grounding colors, and a powerful sense of freedom. Themes of female empowerment, love, self-love, connection to nature, and everyday moments serve as her inspiration.
For Myriam, painting is a deeply therapeutic practice—a way to connect to her body and heart with love and compassion. Through her art, she invites others to connect with their hearts and feel empowered, unapologetic, present, and free.
With 12 years of experience in marketing, Myriam also brings her passion to the world of illustration, creating impactful designs and illustrations for soulful brands and businesses.
