About miri

MIRI describes herself as a boutique singer-songwriter. In addition she is a creative facilitator and community advocate. Her brand of soulful pop has been heard on BBC radio shows including Jasmine Dotiwala's BBC London show and by Gemma Cairney on BBC6 Music along with countless independent and community stations. Her music has been synced for film and TV including Braxton Family Values and Made in Bondi on E4. 

MIRI’s live music performances include arts and justice festival Greenbelt, 100 Club for The Official Bob Marley Birthday Celebration, Brighton Pride, Southbank Centre, accompanying poet and campaigner Lady Unchained on her TEDX Talk and has performed in male prisons along with Q&A’s on LGBTQ+ issues. 

MIRI is on the Artist Council, an advisory board for The Featured Artist Coalition who represent the rights and interests of music artists, and is an Ambassador for The F-List, a UK directory of female and gender expansive musicians. She has been a music mentor, facilitator and pastoral support worker for arts organisations and charities including Young Lyric, Attitude is Everything, Girls Rock London, Writerz & Scribez, Roundhouse and Newham, Music Hub. MIRI has run music sessions in mental health wards for organisations who specifically target groups that are unjustly represented in the mental health system and works on creative projects for Neurodivergent young people and adults. MIRI was diagnosed with Autism and ADHD in 2024.

  • Programme Support Role for Somerset House Half Term Project on Music & Activism for underrepresented young creatives.

  • Co-writing to briefs & recording a 5 track album for production music company Media Tracks published September 2024. 

  • Performing on the Leicester Square Stage at Pride in London 

  • Facilitating an online workshop on Music & Activism for charity ALLFIE for their 'Our Voice' national participation project for Disabled young people.
