About laura
Laura is an Edinburgh-based writer, focusing on themes of chronic illness and coming-of-age. After studying English and Art History at Cambridge and Edinburgh, she went on to work in the visual arts, and has been inspired by the movement of disability futurities.
She has been published most recently in The Skinny, Art UK, Disability Arts Online, BuildHollywood, Paloma, Gutter and Times Literary Supplement.
She took part in Edinburgh Art Festival’s 2023 Emerging Writers Programme, and is currently poetry editor for The Selkie.
