Josie Tang (Jo) is a multidisciplinary artist and Disabled advocate working across photography, modelling, and visual storytelling. They live with multiple chronic illnesses of Endometriosis, Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis which cause chronic fatigue and chronic pain in day-to-day life, amongst other symptoms. They are also autistic and ADHD.
Jo utilises social media as a platform to raise awareness and amplify marginalised voices. They are passionate about advocating for those living with chronic illnesses and love to style their mobility aids with their outfits to help normalise the use of mobility aids in young people. They are ambitious about making the fashion industry more accessible. Jo has experience in photography, presenting, and disability consultancy and has worked with the British Film Institute, the British Library, and featured on the BBC. They have a first class degree in BA(Hons) Fashion Styling and Art Direction.
In their free time, Jo likes to knit on the beach, listen to their favourite musical, and collect Miffys.
