About Sandie
In 2019, Sandie’s life transformed as they became a full-time wheelchair user. Despite challenges, they embraced their new reality.
Now, they advocate for confidence, champion mental health and promote disability inclusion.
Engaging through writing, media and modelling, they spark conversations on empowerment, identity and intersectionality. Their goal is to inspire confidence, celebrate diversity and empower all to boldly claim their place in the world.
Sandie is a powerful speaker that leaves an impact with audiences way beyond her sessions. Leading with vulnerability and an open heart, they talk about internalised ableism, self love and acceptance.
Testimonials:
”Your talk was incredibly powerful, emotional and inspiring. The intensity in which the entire audience listened and was captivated by your words was like nothing I’ve experienced before. It was a beautiful privilege to hear you, and I know I’m among many who are grateful for your sharing.”
“Sandie speaks with openness, clarity, and humour, and the largely pre-disabled audience was captivated. They tell their story in such a personal, grounded way that is rooted in their lived experience, yet they don’t alienate those without direct experience of disability, it was truly magical. Watching the audience hang on their every word, while also being willing to acknowledge their lack of knowledge about ableism, was incredible to witness. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone, disabled or otherwise, to hear Sandie speak. You’ll not only gain insight into their experiences, but also have your perspective broadened in a profound, powerful, and beautifully inclusive way. Thank you, Sandie. This disabled woman felt seen, heard, and less alone after listening to you.”
